Advanced Training For Freedom Guardians

"I WILL train myself ... and I WILL preserve freedom! "

From Lesson 5: "The day is past for lying, cheating, stealing political candidates and petulant, whining, fit-throwing political activists. These habits will still be seen in some circles, especially among government worshipers as they continue to lose control, but they no longer have much effect on the voting public looking for solutions which 'ring true' within themselves."

From Lesson 12: "Motivated by fear, men and women set up governments because they think they need protection or help. The more a man is immersed in limitation-thinking the more fearful he will be and the more government he will call for. As Ayn Rand so clearly pointed out, one who feels hopelessly terrorized will call for very expansive and expensive government ... and be willing to terrorize others to pay for it."

From Lesson 13: "With trust there is nothing I cannot achieve, including a near 'miraculous' change in the way people think politically. Without trust I cannot even change my own mind."

From Lesson 19: "The fact that love attracts people is of primary importance to me in achieving my political goals. In a democratic political realm I could have all the most wonderful intellectualized premises and conclusions anybody ever came up with, but if people don't sense that I am loving then I am not going to be supported by vast numbers of people and my ideas are going to be sold short."

From Lesson 20: "None of us following our inner spiritual nature would steal, or murder, or enslave others. Yet we allow governments to commit these acts because we have been convinced by split minds that there is a difference between our own good and society's good as a whole. In the 180 degree backward thinking of today's world, it is not always easy to see that government interference in people's lives beyond the very basic laws of existence is actually based on fear and hatred of man's free spirit." (See The Spiritual Foundation of Liberty)

From Lesson 25: "There is no one more inspiring than a man who is free of pain, fear, and guilt. Such a man was Ayn Rand's ideal, so it's no wonder that dwelling on her fictional heroes is such an uplifting experience. No one teaches freedom more effectively than one who lives free of pain, fear, and guilt."

From Lesson 26: "Even though mankind has experienced extreme growing pains, the overall consciousness of mankind is evolving to higher levels. Peace is now more than ever valued over war, and people are beginning to see more clearly than ever that governments or ruling elites are the cause of mankind's ills, and cannot be a solution. Such clear valuing and clear seeing can only lead to greater good than ever."

The device which even more deeply prepares freedom lovers for success, A Course in Miracles , talks about our ultimate need to free ourselves from every kind of slavery:

You have been told to bring the darkness to the light, and guilt to holiness. And you have also been told that error must be corrected at its source. Therefore, it is the tiny part of your self, the little thought that seems split off and separate, that the Holy Spirit needs. The rest is fully in God's keeping, and needs no guide. But this wild and delusional thought needs help, because, in its delusions, it thinks it is the Son of God, whole and omnipotent, sole ruler of the kingdom it set apart to tyrannize by madness into obedience and slavery.
