Democrat Dictators, Republican Hyenas, and Liberty Baboons

If we persist in pointing out to a liberal-progressive Democrat that most of their favored programs amount to repressive controlling dictatorship, we will hear a response something like: "Yes, but it's for the good of the majority!" When pressed, Democrats will always finally agree that government dictatorship is okay with them as long as (in their opinion) the dictatorship is good for the majority of people.

For Democrats to some degree or another ... the ends justify the means.

Believing the ends justify the means is a civilization-destroying slippery slope. In politics, ends which are thought to be "good for the majority" soon become justification for cheating, law breaking, lying, and obstructing justice. Just ask Hillary Clinton. And if the end is seen as important enough, even violently attacking others or their property becomes justified in one's mind. Just ask leftist street activists. And finally if the end is imagined to be so important that murder is justified....

Hopefully Democrats don't go so far as to justify murder. Yet it might be tempting to say the Democratic Party is comprised of dictators in spirit ... except that our spirit isn't into dictatorship. Dictatorship is of the ego, not the spirit.

Meanwhile, most Republicans do not believe with the same fervor that the ends justify the means. Although in many instances they themselves would like to be doing the dictating, they are usually not willing to go as far as Democrats in achieving such dictatorship. Most Republicans simply do not have such a high degree of ferociousness in this respect.

Think of the Disney film "The Lion King." Most Republicans compared to Democrats are like hyenas compared to lions. And we all know hyenas back off cowering and sulking when faced down by lions, right? In the context of today's political jungle because of their ferocity Democrats are more like lions than hyenas, and they seem to believe they deserve to be king.

But remember, dictatorship is of the ego. And there is within us, infinitely stronger than ego ... the spirit of life itself, free of ego. And that brings us to liberty activists. While Democrats and many Republicans only fight with as much power as their ego can muster, liberty activists are in touch with their deep inner spirit which is free and wants for us outer conditions reflecting our natural freedom. The spirit of freedom in human beings is unbelievably powerful when finally awakened and allowed to create without ego influence.

Not desiring to be dictators, and therefore not needing to operate out of ego, liberty activists have the possibility of being like the venerable baboon Rafiki in "The Lion King," who is supremely in-touch with the circle of life, laughing with mischievous amusement as he flows with the universal flow of wisdom and power.

With the same words Rafiki spoke to prod Simba into discovering his deeper identity, Course in Political Miracles can be imagined to spur those who wish to assist liberty's creation: "The question is who are you? You don't even know who you are."

The lessons of this course help individuals rise above ego and merge into their true identity which is much more powerful and effective than they could have imagined.

Practice the lessons. Integrate them seriously. As a result you will enjoy watching liberty being created in amazing and fun ways. And someday experiencing the certainty that liberty cannot fail you might even laugh with Rafiki-like playful merriment and say, "Liberty? Hakuna matata!"

The device which even more deeply prepares freedom lovers for success, A Course in Miracles , talks about our ultimate need to free ourselves from every kind of slavery:

You have been told to bring the darkness to the light, and guilt to holiness. And you have also been told that error must be corrected at its source. Therefore, it is the tiny part of your self, the little thought that seems split off and separate, that the Holy Spirit needs. The rest is fully in God's keeping, and needs no guide. But this wild and delusional thought needs help, because, in its delusions, it thinks it is the Son of God, whole and omnipotent, sole ruler of the kingdom it set apart to tyrannize by madness into obedience and slavery.

To understand the evil psychology of modern "liberal progressives," read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"

"God's laws will keep your minds at peace, because peace IS His Will, and His laws are established to uphold it. His are the laws of freedom, but yours are the laws of bondage. Since freedom and bondage are irreconcilable, their laws CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD TOGETHER. The laws of God work only for your good, and there ARE no other laws beside His. Everything else is merely lawLESS, and therefore chaotic." -Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles
