Helping Rand Paul Build The GOP Into A Liberty Party

Liberty lovers can easily discover all the usual political "tricks of the trade" by studying a number of highly successful political campaigns and analyzing what makes them successful. That is the way of political science.

But the purpose of this Course In Political Miracles is primarily to help liberty lovers evolve abilities and tools which other politicians or political activists or political science professors have not developed.

One of these very powerful tools is the practice of planting in people's minds a juxtaposition between a positive possibility for liberty and a positive possibility for them personally.

For example, one woman used every opportunity to say to everyone she ran into: "I heard that people who become Rand Paul supporters are experiencing honest-to-God miracles in their lives. It's incredible!"

People would sometimes respond, "Where did you hear that? What are you talking about?"

The woman would then avoid specifics, finding ways to immediately become distracted and put off answering. But in the mean time ... seed planted.

Two possibilities are now juxtaposed in the minds of her listeners. (1) A possibility the listeners could become Rand Paul supporters (which the woman would love). (2) A possibility the listeners could experience miracles (which the listeners would love).

Since ideas in mind associate with each other, this woman has literally caused an association in her listeners' minds between supporting Rand Paul and miracles.

"But that sounds almost like chicanery."

Yes ... almost ... until you look deeper. Since Rand Paul stands for political liberty and against any kind of disguised political dictatorship, the listeners who eventually act on this new mental association and become Rand Paul supporters actually will experience miracles.

"A miracle rearranges the order of perception, and places the levels [of perception] in their true perspective. A miracle is a beginning and an end. It thus abolishes time. It undoes the past in the present, and thus releases the future. Miracles honor man, they release him from a prison in which he has imprisoned himself. By freeing his mind from illusions, they restore his sanity."

Will a man becoming a Rand Paul supporter experience a change in perception, seeing things in a true perspective? Will his past be undone and his future released? Will he experience healing as he becomes newly in-touch with his innermost desire for freedom, and thus in-touch with his true nature? Will his illusions be dispelled and his sanity restored? All this will happen at least to some degree, wouldn't you say?

Until they actually become Rand Paul supporters, will the woman's listeners be able to shake the association out of their minds? Not easily. The way the mind works, there would have to be direct evidence to the contrary in order to completely wipe out the association.

Will her listeners feel a recurring niggling temptation to consider becoming a Rand Paul supporter just to see what happens? Definitely. A seed has been planted and the listener's subconscious mind will want to find out one way or another.

Will her listeners ever actually vote for Rand Paul? Yes, likely. To be associated, even in the slightest way, is to be associated. It would be hard for the listeners not to vote for Rand Paul at least once because somewhere in their subconscious minds is the muted thought "A few miracles would be nice."

If her listeners become even a little open-minded to supporting Rand Paul are there benefits to the liberty movement? You decide.

Rand Paul is like a shining knight charging up the hill to overthrow the old Republican establishment and reshape the Republican Party for liberty. The transformation of an extensive well-established political party takes time, and Rand will of course have more and more supporters as time goes on. But we can all help by planting some version of positive association in people's minds.

"Rand's work aligned....
And profit combined....
Thoughts held in mind....
Build after their kind."

The device which even more deeply prepares freedom lovers for success, A Course in Miracles , talks about our ultimate need to free ourselves from every kind of slavery:

You have been told to bring the darkness to the light, and guilt to holiness. And you have also been told that error must be corrected at its source. Therefore, it is the tiny part of your self, the little thought that seems split off and separate, that the Holy Spirit needs. The rest is fully in God's keeping, and needs no guide. But this wild and delusional thought needs help, because, in its delusions, it thinks it is the Son of God, whole and omnipotent, sole ruler of the kingdom it set apart to tyrannize by madness into obedience and slavery.

To understand the evil psychology of modern "liberal progressives," read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"

"God's laws will keep your minds at peace, because peace IS His Will, and His laws are established to uphold it. His are the laws of freedom, but yours are the laws of bondage. Since freedom and bondage are irreconcilable, their laws CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD TOGETHER. The laws of God work only for your good, and there ARE no other laws beside His. Everything else is merely lawLESS, and therefore chaotic." -Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles
